Enagic® is a 43 years old privately held company headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. They began operations in 1974 with the research and development of a water treatment technology that today is used in over 100 hospitals, over 1,000 restaurants, and over 500,000 households worldwide. As an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Enagic handles every aspect of the business, from research & development, to manufacturing, to sales, marketing & distribution, to service and warranty support.
Enagic® has been honoured by numerous organizations and it has also been endorsed by major doctors in Japan. Two of the most notable honours were bestowed on them by the Japanese Ministry of Health & Welfare and Japanese Association of Preventive Medicine for Adult Disease. The Japanese Ministry of Health & Welfare officially approved the Enagic® water products and technology for its health merits. In fact, in Japan, the LeveLuk SD501, the Enagic® product that creates Kangen Water®, is recognized as a “Medical Device”.
In 2002, Enagic® was awarded an honourable endorsement from the Japanese Association of Preventive Medicine for Adult Disease. This is considered a very rare and special honour, because this non-profit association of independent doctors, which is also the biggest and the most respected of its kind in Japan, is known for its long and thorough selection process. 
They only issue such endorsements for only one product (or product line) to the very best in any given category or industry. The association reviews and endorses a variety of products and technologies. Enagic is the ONLY company in the water industry endorsed by this highly respected association.
